The Cannery Seafood Restaurant
If you’re thinking of going to a nice place for dinner or lunch and not worried too much about the price, go to The Cannery Seafood Restaurant in Vancouver. It is about 3 minutes drive past the gates of Ballantyne. Their food is always fresh; in fact, every day they have a daily menu catered to what the fresh catch of the day is. A few friends and I went there to try it out during Vancouver Dine Out 2008 and we all loved it. The food was superb; they also have the BEST Lobster Oil with Balsamic Vinegar to dip bread in, although it could be better if the bread was warm. The service was quick and professional; if it was any better, the hostess would have pulled our chairs out and laid our napkins in our laps for us afterwards. The restaurant is very cozy. It’s similar to going into The Keg or The Boathouse, which are both very good restaurants as well. The Cannery is definitely a place to go back to over and over. But be forewarned, their dishes are around the $31-$50 range, and don’t forget to order the Spicy Prawn Caesar! It is so unbelievably yummy; I think I’m drooling already. - Dianna T.

Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant
This is a great place to celebrate that special occasion in the view of the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver but with the serenity of the breathe-taking views. The ambience is absolutely top-notch. You recieve a 360 degree view around the building! By the time you have finished, I have found that you end up where you started! The food was absolutely divine! I strongly recommend the lobster salad and chicken breast. I felt that the beverages were over priced though...$5.00 for a non-refillable glass of coke? The service was wonderful! They accomodate almost anything you could ask to make your experience there an unforgettable one! The movement of the floors may take a while to adjust to, but once your body settles in, your stomach is in for a real treat! - Theresa C.
